Welcome David Watson + Full Men's Football Reserves Coaching Panel Announced
Share
Black Rock FNC are pleased to announce that David Watson has been appointed as our Men's Football Reserves Head Coach for 2023.

'Watto' would be well remembered by many as a Black Rock player for a decade, finishing up his playing career in 2017. Since then he has transitioned into coaching. Starting with his son's junior team through to Under 12s this year. Also taking up the opportunity to work with St. Kilda's Next Gen academy to further develop his coaching. In 2022, he was involved in coaching Chelsea's Men's Reserves side in the MPNFL. A team that went from winning 1 game in 3 years, to winning 5 games this year. We are excited to see the impact this appointment can have on our Men's Reserves group, but also the assistance Watto can provide to Ryan Handley and our Senior group at trainings and on game days.
Alongside David, we could like to congratulate Jimmy Kirtland and Michael Rourke who will be undertaking the roles of Reserves Assistant Coaches in 2023. Both men are already leaders on the field and inspire their fellow team mates with their actions each and every week. We at Black Rock are very excited to see what these boys will bring to their new roles and have no doubts that they are going to help lead this side to a bright and successful future.

What an amazing position for the club to be in to have three outstanding applicants and to now be developing coaches from within.
Absolutely no one is doing that!
