Under 19s Coaching Appointment – Welcome Gavin Boyd

Black Rock Football Netball Club is excited to announce that Gavin Boyd has been appointed as our Under 19s Coach for 2026 and beyond. Gavin will also be pulling on the Jets jumper as a senior player, making this appointment a fantastic addition both on and off the field.
Local Connections, Big Ambitions
Gavin grew up just around the corner from Don Mac and already has plenty of connections at the club. His passion for football, combined with a strong mix of playing, coaching, and business experience, will be invaluable as we launch and grow our Under 19s program.
Coaching Experience
Gavin has quickly built a strong coaching resume across junior football:

Alongside his club commitments, Gavin also runs his own coaching business, Up & Coming Sports, where he helps young players develop their skills and passion for the game.
Off the Field
Gavin is currently studying Sports Management and completing a placement with the Western Bulldogs in recruitment, further strengthening the expertise and insight he will bring to his role at Black Rock.
A Step Forward for the Club
This appointment is a major step forward for Black Rock as we launch our Under 19s program. Gavin’s experience, energy, and leadership will help create a strong pathway for our juniors and the next generation of Jets.
But for this program to succeed, we need the whole club community to get behind it – players, parents, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we can build something special that will strengthen the club for years to come.
