Notice of Special General Meeting

We hereby notify you that a Special General Meeting of Black Rock Football Netball Club Inc. will be held on Thursday, 20th of July 2023. The meeting will take place at the following venue:

Venue: MacDonald Reserve Pavilion
Address: 22 Keating Street, Beaumaris VIC 3193
Time: 7:45pm

The purpose of this Special General Meeting is to consider four special resolutions to update the Association Rules. These proposed updates aim to simplify our membership process, clarify the election of a junior sub committee, and enhance the management of junior funds. The resolutions relate to the proposed alteration of the following Association rules:

Special Resolution Number #1

Part 3—Members, Disciplinary Procedures and Grievances
Rule 10: Application for membership
Rule 11: Consideration of application
Rule 12: New membership

Special Resolution Number #2

Rule 55: Election of Office Bearers
Rule 56-A: Election of Junior Sub Committee

Special Resolution Number #3

Division 3—Election of Committee members and tenure of office
Rule 51: Junior Sub Committee

Part 6—Financial Matters
Rule 72: Management of funds

Members who are unable to attend the meeting in person may appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf. The appointment of a proxy must be made in writing, signed by the member, and submitted to the Chairperson of the meeting electronically before or at the commencement of the meeting.

No business other than that set out in the notice above may be conducted at the meeting.

We kindly request all members to familiarise themselves with the proposed changes prior to the meeting. Your active participation and engagement in these discussions are vital for the future direction of our club.
