New Fitness Coach: Phil Badman

Jets The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Badman as our pre-season fitness coach. Phil, who is the father of Chris 'The Fist' Badman, has extensive knowledge of structuring a professional pre-season program which will launch us into our 2014 campaign. Phil's successful senior playing career took place across the Northern Suburbs and it was after this that he turned his hand to Athletics coaching. He has been an accredited Australia Paralympian coach at Mentone Athletics Club for a number of years with some major successes Over the last few years Phil has been involved at Beaumaris FC setting up their fitness programs as they progressed from C to A grade in the VAFA. Phil has also competed in 25 consecutive Melbourne Marathons. Pre-season Fitness In discussion with Phil and the style of play we wish to deploy in 2014 he has mapped out our program across three key stages: 1. Fitness base 2. Endurance 3. Leg speed Core and Upper Body strength focus as well. We urge all current and potential players to get on board early and take advantage of our pre-season planning and personal benefits. Pre-season training will commence on Monday 11th November.
