Key Backmen Re-Commit to Premiership Jets

More good news from the Black Rock camp with Cooper Ferries and Callum Reed recommitting to the 2023 Season!
Cooper 'Coop' Ferries started his Jets career all the way back in 2010 where he has played 120 games accumulating 89 goals! Not bad for a Backman... in saying that, calling Coop a Backman is really an insult to the man as he is a unbeatable swingman, put him forward or back, he is unstoppable! Coop continued his dominant display in 2022, placing Fifth in the Black Rock Best & Fairest.
Equally as impressive is Coop's exploits off the field, acting as Black Rock's Vice-President for the past three years through a very turbulent covid-affected time. His contribution and commitment to the club only being matched by his fellow Vice-Presidents Annaliese Neal, Brenton Henry and, newly-inducted Life-Member and President, Andrew Ferguson. Together, Coop and the team's efforts set-up the club's 2022 success and has also solidified a very, very bright future the Bayside club!

Callum Reed, or better known as Clamps, returned home from Canberra after a stint at ADFA and decided to join the Jets at the start of pre-season. The young 20 year-old arrived at Black Rock and lit up the Jet's defence as a shut-down Backman, keeping Division 3's leading goal scorers goalless on multiple occasions. Callum was always the first name on the team sheet each and every-week and managed to play the entire regular season without going to the bench and for his efforts, was selected in SNFL Developmental Squad and was awarded the Most Consistent Player and Sixth in the Black Rock Best & Fairest. He continued this trend deep into the finals campaign until the grand final where he was forced off the ground with injury deep in the third quarter, but still managed to rack up a few positions in key plays on one-leg!

Both men played key roles in the 2022 Division 3 Grand Final and deservingly so, have etched their names in the Black Rock history books.
Absolutely no one else is doing that!
