John Burke Appointed Senior Coach

Black Rock JetsThe Black Rock Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of John Burke as Senior coach. John brings with him an abundance of footy experience, from his playing days at Cheltenham FC and more recently through his coaching involvement at Beaumaris FC. In particular, their U17, U19 and their Reserve side in 2011. He has a game plan and football philosophy based around Respect that will hold us in excellent stead as we aim to rebuild the club in Division 3 next season. Over the course of the appointment process, he demonstrated a clear long term vision for the Black Rock Football Club, both on and off the field, recognising that the two go hand in hand. He's eager for the challenge that the role presents and determined to work towards a progression of club culture and ensuring BRFC's long term viability. Having been involved at nearby football clubs for over 30 years, as well as owning a business in the local area, John has wealth of knowledge, connections and ideas on how to best position the club to steadily attract local players, supporters and sponsors going forward. More news will be available in the coming days regarding John's assistants and the structure of the club's football department in 2013. John Burke Bio
