Black Rock Football Netball Club is excited to announce the appointment of Brent “Wardy” Ward as our Senior Women’s Coach for the 2027 season.
A Life Member, former Club Captain, Premiership player and Senior Best & Fairest winner, Wardy played over 280 games for the Rockers. His return brings together a proud history in the red and black and extensive experience coaching women’s football.
Wardy has spent the past five seasons as Senior Coach of the Hampton Rovers Women’s side, following three years as Beaumaris Senior Women’s Coach. He also brings plenty of junior football coaching experience.
His time at Hampton Rovers included an undefeated Division 2 Premiership in his first season in 2022, followed by another Grand Final appearance in 2024.
Wardy now returns to Black Rock to lead our Senior Women’s program into 2027, bringing his coaching knowledge and longstanding connection to the club. We also extend a warm welcome back to his wife Lisa and the kids, and look forward to having the whole family around the club.
