John Burke has been confirmed as Senior coach for 2015, his third season at the helm. Burkey has overseen a dramatic turnaround in the performance of the side. After a difficult start in 2013, the the Senior side came home strongly in the second half of the season.
The momentum from the latter half of 2013 was carried into the 2014 and saw the side finish just short of a top 3 finish and a double chance. A narrow loss and elimination in the first week of finals left a sour taste that will no doubt drive coaches and players involved to bigger and better things in 2015.
The club will unfortunately bid farewell to 2014 Strength and Conditioning guru Phil Badman. Phil returns to Beaumaris Football Club with our gratitude and best wishes.
John Sinclair likewise is into his Third season and a confirmed starter as coach of the Reserves side in 2015. Sinclair's side improved dramatically in 2014, going from a winless 2013 to challenging for finals late in the 2014 season. Two draws and numerous narrow losses meant finals wasn't to be, but that will drive Sinclair and his side in 2015.
An announcement regarding the Thirds coaching position will be made deeper into pre-season when there is a clearer understanding of player numbers and availability of candidates.
